Saudi authorities behead convict over drug offence, making it the 76th in 2013.
A Syrian man Hasan Mahmud al-Bash convicted for smuggling drugs into the country was on Tuesday beheaded in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the ministry said in a statement carried by the official SPA news agency.
PMNews reports:
Mahmud Bash was arrested while attempting to traffic “a large amount of narcotic capsules,” the ministry added.
His beheading brings to 76 the number of executions carried out in Saudi Arabia this year, according to an AFP count.
