Nigerian music producer Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, has strongly denied claims made by social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) that he was part of a secret WhatsApp group set up to derail justice for the late singer Mohbad.
VDM had accused Samklef, actress Iyabo Ojo, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others of plotting his arrest, leaking his nude video, and spreading misinformation through the group.
In a detailed post on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef refuted the allegations, saying they were baseless and aimed at gaining attention. He clarified that the WhatsApp group in question was created to stand against online bullies like Naira Marley, not to suppress anyone.
To support his stance, Samklef shared a copy of Mohbad’s petition against Sam Larry for assault, reaffirming that his focus has always been on seeking justice for the late artist.
He went on to accuse VDM of misleading the public and making the case about himself, particularly calling out VDM’s persistent push for a DNA test regarding Mohbad’s child.
“VDM has been sabotaging this case from the start—first it was the DNA narrative,” Samklef wrote. “You’re just chasing clout with gullible followers. Who are you that anyone would set up a group chat just for you?”
Samklef also questioned VDM’s recent attacks on Dre and implied he was trying to stir up controversy by dragging Davido into the matter.
“Dear VDM, why are you targeting Dre? You intentionally came for him and tried to rope in Davido to spark drama,” he added.
