British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has broken his silence about his short-lived engagement to Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence “DJ Cuppy” Otedola, shedding light on what led to their breakup.
Speaking on The Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old influencer reflected on the whirlwind romance, revealing that underlying issues created tension and emotional distance between them.
Taylor, who famously proposed to Cuppy in December 2022 after less than a month of dating, claimed that cultural and professional differences contributed to their split — particularly her attitude toward working with Nigerians in certain settings.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” he said.
The British content creator added that their relationship had no binding contracts or NDAs, stressing that he left the relationship with valuable life lessons rather than regrets.
“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!
I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is,” Taylor added.
Their engagement had generated massive buzz when it was announced, as the couple met during the Gumball 3000 rally and quickly became a social media sensation.
However, by mid-2023, fans began to speculate about a breakup after noticing that DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor had unfollowed each other on Instagram, signaling that their relationship had come to an end.
