Russia’s government have placed Vladmir Yevtushenkov a 65 year old top billionaire under house arrest on charges of money-laundering.
Vladimir who is board chairman of AFK Sistenia and Russia’s 15th richest man was accused of legalizing acquired properties through fraudulent means.
Though the arrest is viewed as politically motivated by businessmen and Putin’s opposition who referenced Mikhail Khordovsky Russia’s oil tycoon and CEO of Yukos who was in jail for 10-yrs and his business’s were torn apart and ultimately bought by Oil giant Rosneft highly favoured by the kremlin who also have been reported by business daily Vedomosti has interested in buying Bashneft.
