Nollywood actress Ruby Ojiakor stirred buzz online on Friday after sharing clips from her spiritually charged bridal shower. This event comes ahead of her wedding to filmmaker Moc Madu, set to take place on Saturday, May 31st.
Earlier in the year, Ruby announced her engagement and wedding plans. But instead of the typical celebration, her bridal shower turned into an intense worship session, which she said was filled with divine encounters.
Taking to Instagram, the actress described the gathering as unlike any other, claiming the Holy Spirit filled the atmosphere and guests experienced supernatural miracles. In her words:
“To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life eternal. My bridal shower wasn’t business as usual. The whole atmosphere was fully charged by the Holy Spirit. I saw God and His host of angels come down live. People received supernatural breakthroughs and blessings from my Heavenly Father. God cannot be mocked. Thank you, Jesus Christ, for the outpour of your blessings. I am useless without you. Oh Lord Jesus, we love you. A bridal shower as never seen before.”

Ruby responded to critics by urging them to voice their concerns before her big day or remain silent forever. She firmly declared that no one can break what God has joined together.
The actress and her husband eventually tied the knot in her hometown on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. A touching moment from the wedding went viral as Ruby removed her shoes and knelt to honor her husband, calling him “Odogwu,” in a heartfelt show of respect.
