Olivia Hussey, famed for her role as Juliet in Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 Romeo and Juliet, passed away at 73. Her family described her as a “remarkable person” whose kindness touched many lives.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1951, Hussey was just 15 when her portrayal of Juliet earned her a Golden Globe and lasting acclaim. Beyond this iconic role, she appeared in films like Black Christmas (1974) and Death on the Nile (1978).
She is survived by her husband, David Eisley, their three children, and a grandchild.
