Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, received a royal plaque from the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
The distinguished honor was presented to Rema on Thursday during his visit to the Oba’s palace, coinciding with his homecoming concert at Ogbe Stadium in Benin City.
This recognition comes on the heels of Rema’s involvement in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Edo Arena on Wednesday.
During the event, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki announced that the 6,000-seat arena would be named the ‘Rema Dome’ to celebrate the artist’s significant role in showcasing Edo State to the world.
