Rema, an Afrobeat artist, caused a stir when he abruptly left the stage during his performance at the Dreamville Festival because of poor sound quality. The Dreamville Festival, which featured numerous internationally renowned artists such as J.Cole, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, and SZA, was held on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. While performing his popular hit song “Calm Down,” Rema had to pause due to several technical difficulties. He noticed that the other performers did not have any sound issues and threatened to abandon the stage if the problem persisted. He expressed his frustration, saying, “There are too many sound issues. It’s ruining my entire performance. This is unacceptable. I represent Africa, and this is unacceptable. The sound cannot be perfect for every artist who performs on this stage. Africa is in the house, and you’re ruining everything. I’ll walk off the stage, bro.” Unfortunately, the sound issue was not resolved, so Rema left the stage.
