Nigerian sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has effectively responded to Seun Kuti’s advice to “be careful” when working with Wizkid. Instead of backing down, the singer has forged ahead, officially releasing his collaborative project with the Grammy winner.
The War of Words
The warning was issued amidst a bitter online feud between Seun Kuti and Wizkid. The conflict began when Seun lambasted Wizkid’s supporters, labeling them “the most ignorant fan base.” Wizkid retaliated with a barrage of insults, calling Seun a “fool at forty,” a “hungry b*stard,” and “a frog who lives in the mud.” Seun further escalated matters by demanding Wizkid remove the tattoo of his father, Fela Kuti, or face career failure.
Music Over Drama
Despite the toxic atmosphere and the specific warning to stay away, Asake confirmed the partnership remains solid. On January 23, 2026, he took to Instagram to announce the release of their joint work, Real EP Vol. 1.
He captioned the post in Yoruba:
“Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi”
(Which translates to “Real EP Vol. 1 is out now.”)
The Rollout
This release follows the project’s lead single, Jogodo, which dropped a week earlier on January 16, 2026, and has already generated significant buzz among fans of both artists.
