Offset has reportedly been hospitalised after being sh0t in Florida.
The rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus and a former member of the Atlanta-based group Migos, was injured on Monday evening, April 6, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, located just outside Miami.
A representative for the 34-year-old confirmed the incident, stating that he is currently receiving treatment in the hospital and is in stable condition.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” the rep wrote in a statement. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”
Authorities also confirmed the incident, noting that it occurred at a valet area shortly after 7 p.m., leaving one individual with non-life-threatening injuries who was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
Police added that officers responded quickly and brought the situation under control, with two individuals taken into custody.
“The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
Investigations are still ongoing, and further details about the shooting have not yet been disclosed.
Offset rose to prominence as part of Migos, the Grammy-nominated hip-hop group from metro Atlanta.
