American rapper DDG has revealed plans to relocate to Lagos, Nigeria, amid his ongoing custody battle with ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey.
DDG, who is currently entangled in a highly publicized legal dispute with Bailey over custody of their 17-month-old son, Halo, made the announcement in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Why DDG Wants to Move to Nigeria
Though the rapper didn’t go into details about his decision, he expressed excitement about the move, tweeting: “I’m so tired of living in LA. I can’t wait til i move to Lagos Nigeria.”
This isn’t the first time DDG has hinted at leaving the U.S. Back in January 2025, he suggested relocating either to London or Lagos, citing dissatisfaction with life in America.
Fans React to DDG’s Tweet
Zaddy remarked: “Keep using Lagos to chase clout, you know what you’re doing.”

Dave Crypt said: “Make we swap you come to Lagos. You give me money to go to LA how you see am?😂.”

DDG’s legal issues stem from allegations by Halle Bailey, who accused him of physical and emotional abuse during their relationship. A temporary restraining order was granted in her favor as a result.
Meanwhile, Bailey appears to have moved on. She was recently spotted with a mystery man enjoying a yacht getaway in Italy, sparking speculation of a new romance. Her representatives, however, have not issued any official comment.
