A 26-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped a year back, was shot at by three unidentified youths in Janakpuri locality of Muzzafarnagar, police said today.
The three youths, who were on a bike, shot at the woman yesterday and fled the scene, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjiv Kumar Vajpayee said.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, he added.
The rape accused, who was arrested in the sexual assault case and later released on bail, is suspected to be behind the attack, police said, adding, a search for him is on.
