Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has become the target of social media criticism following the surprise reconciliation between her husband, Olakunle Churchill, and his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
The Truce
The internet went into a frenzy after Tonto Dikeh announced that she and Churchill had finally buried the hatchet after a decade of animosity. In a touching statement, the actress revealed that God had intervened to heal the rift characterized by “10 years of public battles, deep wounds, broken communication, bitterness, and pain.”
She expressed gratitude to Churchill for choosing peace and notably referred to their son, King Andre, by his father’s surname, a significant shift from previous years.
The Backlash
However, the positive development sparked a different reaction toward Churchill’s current wife, Rosy Meurer. Shortly after Tonto’s announcement, Rosy flooded her Instagram page with updates, including a video of her dining abroad and photos of herself in a denim skirt and white shirt.
Her caption, where she declared herself the “queen of all queens,” combined with the timing of the posts, triggered a wave of backlash from netizens who felt the move was insensitive or competitive.
