In his sermon on Sunday, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Senior Pastor of the Citadel Global Community Church, previously the Latter Rain Church, expressed worries about the negative economic impact of the elimination of fuel subsidies on Nigerians.
Bakare pleaded with President Bola Tinubu at his church in Lagos, saying, “Mr. President, kill corruption, and not Nigerians. Without justice, no economy can prosper.
The senior clergyman also raised doubt on the planned military action by ECOWAS in the Niger Republic.
“Local support by Nigeriens for Nigeria is at an all-time low,” he declared. Because of this, fighting is ineffective. Even while we oppose the coup d’etat in West Africa, we acknowledge that the situation necessitates serious introspection on the part of African leaders.Nigeria is urged to show strong leadership at this time. The underlying concern is whether President Tinubu has the ability to lead morally even in local circumstances.
After his State of the Nation address, he expressed confidence that God will move in Nigeria, saying: “We must communicate what the Lord has said to us and what he has shown to us. The State of the Nation address today is a result of what we have seen and heard.
“After this State of the Nation presentation, you’ll witness God working in our country. Today will be remembered as the moment when God decided to become involved in Nigeria’s affairs.
