Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, the CEO and Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has been granted a ninety-day pre-retirement leave by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Naija News, he will eventually retire from service on November 24, 2023, after taking an effective retirement leave that begins on August 24, 2023.
The Special Advisor to the President on Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Additionally, Bisoye Coker-Odusote was appointed by the President to the position of Acting Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for a term of ninety days.
After Coker-Odusote’s nomination becomes official on August 24, 2023, the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO will assume office on November 24, 2023, for a full four-year term.

Additionally, President Tinubu gave his approval to Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub’s appointment as the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) Director/CEO.
This comes after Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, the former CEO and director of DTAC, just had his term expire.
As far as Naija News is aware, the statement stated that the appointment is effective immediately.
