Not wanting to caught playing politics of bitterness, President Goodluck Jonathan has sent a congratulatory message to the winner of the Governorship election in Edo State, Adams Oshiomole
In a statement signed by Mr. Reuben Abati, Special adviser on media , the President urged Governor Oshiomhole to receive the fresh mandate given to him Saturday by the people of Edo State as an endorsement of his outstanding performance in his first term and an expression of their desire for a continuation of his focused, purposeful and dynamic leadership.
The PDP youth circuit has also congratulated Mr. Oshiomole.

With great humility, deep sense of responsibly and respect for the wishes of the good people of EDO STATE, We congratulate Comrade Adams Oshiomole of ACN for a well deserved victory.
The PDP Youth Circuit (The new PDP) also audaciously claims victory in EDO state alongside ACN and the comrade governor for the following reasons;
1. The victory is an affirmation of the core of our democratic belief that elections can be about issues and performances.
2. That the victory of ACN in EDO sets up a new battle line that will be won and lost based on issues, quality of leadership, organization and ability to deliver on electoral promises.
While this is a deserving victory for Comrade Adams Oshiomole personally, the victory is a wake up call for the leaders of all political parties including the ACN.
The people are getting more conscious and will henceforth focus on what matters to their lives. It will never be business as usual again.
We call on all the PDP Youth Circuit members in EDO STATE to take heart and take a few lessons from the loss. We will take back EDO STATE come 2016 if we begin to demonstrate capacity, exhibit integrity and build trust now.
We also seize this opportunity to congratulate all the people who voted for our party, you are winners too.
