Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has opened up about his decision to return to school despite his fame and success in the music industry.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the Zazuu Zeh crooner spoke passionately about the importance of education and how it can help him manage his career more effectively while setting a good example for his children.
Education for Growth and Legacy
Portable revealed that he already obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic but never collected his certificate after completing the program.
He explained that going back to school is part of his effort to develop himself intellectually and earn greater respect in society.
According to the artist, education remains essential for growth, discipline, and proper communication within the entertainment industry, even for those who have achieved fame.
In his words: “I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to be mocked that their father is illiterate.
“I wan go back to school so that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealings with people.”
