Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has requested for the EFCC to spare him after spraying money on his fans. The six-month jail sentence given to crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, may have caused celebrities, who regularly spray Naira in public, to exercise caution. Portable had previously claimed he gives his followers almost N2 million daily in spray paint. In a recent live chat, the street artist stated that his actions are an act of kindness towards people.
As the head of the Zeh Nation label, Portable appeared anxious about the consequences of footage showing him throwing cash around. He begged for forgiveness from the government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), an anti-graft agency. Portable announced he would no longer be spraying money and advised his supporters to open bank accounts, adding that he would only make transfers.
