Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has disclosed his intention to return to school this time to gain a deeper understanding of the business side of his music career.
The “Zazu” crooner explained that although he already holds an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, he believes further education will help him better manage his music business and record label.
Portable emphasized that his goal is to have full control over his brand and ensure that Zeh Nation, his record label, operates efficiently without depending too heavily on others for direction.
He said,
“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation.”
The singer noted that his decision to return to school is about gaining practical knowledge to handle his royalties and contracts correctly, not just earning another certificate.
