Small Doctor, a well-known street-pop performer whose actual name is Adekunle Temitope, discusses how he attempted to convince Portable to stop acting like a tout and accept his rockstar status.
During his Thursday conversation with media personality Quincy Jonze on the Echoo Room podcast, he revealed the discovery.
Small Doctor claims to have known Portable for a very long time and that they have been close for a number of years. He disclosed that City Boys introduced him to Portable, and the two of them collaborated to play at the “Omobetter concert.”
Small Doctor recalled telling Portable to dress decently and tone down his tough demeanor since how one appears affects how that person is seen.
Small Doctor admitted that some people struggle to internalize instruction, nevertheless. He highlighted that Portable has been his close friend ever then, calling him “my boy” with fondness.
He stated in part, “I have known Portable for God knows how many years. He’s been with me for God knows how many years. City boys brought him to the ‘Omobetter concert’.
“I told him, ‘Come, don’t do like tout you are a superstar, dress normally, dress properly, the way you are dressed is the way you will be addressed’.
“But you know there are so many things you will tell some people but they don’t have the capability to access what you said.
