Controversial singer Portable narrowly escaped an attack after confronting an alleged assailant who approached his car armed with a knife.
According to the singer, the incident took place in front of his father’s residence in Ogun State.
The man, dressed in military-style camouflage trousers and a Special Forces shirt, was suspected of attempting to harm Portable. Items found on him included a dagger and a traditional charm (juju) tied around his waist.
Despite the suspicion, the man denied any intent to attack, claiming he was a member of a task force.
A video circulating online shows the suspect seated on the ground as Portable and a crowd of onlookers question him after the confrontation.
