Controversial singer Portable encounters and detains an enthusiastic fan who recorded him without paying the stipulated N2 million interview fee.
In a video circulating online, Portable reveals that after returning from his tours in Russia and Cameroon, a content creator messaged him for an interview. Portable informed the individual about his N2 million interview fee, but the man declined to pay.
Instead, the individual went to Portable’s bar and started recording and taking photos of him without consent. The shared video captures Portable expressing his displeasure at the fan’s refusal to pay while still using his camera to capture moments without permission.
In response, the fan claims to be a devoted supporter of Portable.
Reactions have trailed this …
IamBlaccode said: “Singer Portable demanding N2m for an interview? Sounds like he’s trying to compensate for his lack of talent with his ego. 🙄🙄”
@ekibyleo remarked: “The love I got for this guy is wierd. He’s actually right, if he gave you no consent to film him or interview him, the journalist or blogger has no right to take any footage of him/his staff/signees and his employees.
I stand with Portable. You wanna interview me, pay first. Else, you collect.
And if you have promoted false misinformation about me from a rival, I reserve every right to decline you an interview.
You can’t come and color me for your clicks and views. And that’s on Zazzu”
