Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has blamed the late Afrobeats legend and activist, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, for his own death.
During his recent appearance on the ‘Echoo Room’ podcast with media personality Quincy Jonze, Portable criticized Fela, claiming that the music icon died young because he didn’t mind his own business.
In the now-viral interview, Portable also addressed his ongoing feud with rapper Zlatan Ibile, labeling him as the “devil” responsible for the conflict between him and Davido.
“According to what we were told, if Fela had minded his business a little he would have lived longer. But he was busy fighting for Nigerians wey no fight for their selves.
“I was in America looking for foreign artistes. I was busy displaying my madness online when Davido called me to come. Me and Davido did not quarrel until when the devil Zlatan came.”
