Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has taken a swipe at popular skit maker and content creator Carter Efe after the latter criticized him for requesting a ₦10 million fee to appear on a TikTok live session.
Reports indicate that Carter Efe had initially approached Portable, asking him to join one of his live streams. However, their budding rapport quickly turned sour when Portable insisted on a hefty ₦10 million payment for the appearance.
Reacting to the demand, Carter Efe publicly mocked the singer, expressing frustration and disbelief over the price tag.
“How much are we even making from these live sessions? I’m just tired,” Carter said in a post.
In response, Portable fired back in a heated video, accusing Carter Efe of trying to take advantage of him just as he allegedly did with his former signee, Young Duu.
The “Zazu” hitmaker called Carter a “thief,” claiming he abandoned Young Duu despite relocating him to Lekki.
“You ripped off my boy! Took him to Lekki, didn’t give him food, a car, or even clothes. Now you want to use me? Pay up first!” Portable ranted.
He also blamed Young Duu for not heeding his earlier advice about setting a price for appearances.
“Young Duu didn’t listen. Now he’s suffering. I told him back then to ask for money when people reach out,” he added.
This clash has reignited attention around the past conflict between Carter Efe and Young Duu, whose professional relationship reportedly ended due to accusations of exploitation and mismanagement by Carter’s label.
