A COP was sacked after sending his boss a snap of a hardcore porn star and saying she looked like her.
Pc Mark Scruby also showed the still to colleagues, again insisting the romping model resembled Det Sgt Isobel Lee.
He was first dismissed for gross misconduct last May but was reinstated for an appeal which he has now lost.
Scruby, 37, said the incident had just been a joke and the disciplinary panel heard he had censored a manhood in the photo with a picture of a bottle.
But supervisor Ms Lee had to fight back tears as she told how she had been left feeling “humiliated” and “dirty” by the incident last February.
She said she called him into her office at Crawley police station, West Sussex, after seeing the Whatsapp message and told him: “You were inappropriate, unprofessional and out of order.
“You have crossed the line.”
She left the station when her shift ended 15 minutes later and reported Scruby the next day.
Scruby said he believed the matter had ended at the minute-long meeting with her saying the matter would go no further.
But Ms Lee said she had wanted to think about it overnight, adding: “I’ve never been in that position.”
The appeal at the force HQ in Lewes heard Scruby, a cop for 14 years, flashed the picture in the canteen and offered to let others see it in a report writing room.
