An Okada rider who ran foul of the new traffic law in effect on major roads in Lagos was this morning allegedly shot by a policeman, at Ilupeju.
According to eyewitnesses the law enforcement officer shot the commercial motorcycle operator in the chest as he was trying to evade arrest after he was flagged down.
The source said after the middle aged Okada rider was shot the policemen entered into their van, fleeing the scene thus leaving the man to writhein pains unattended.
Passersby later rushed the man to Teju Hospital a few kilometers from the scene.
