The NEMA South West Zonal Office has released images revealing the damaged building caused by the recent explosion in Ibadan on the night of January 16. According to NEMA, the explosion in Adeyi Estate, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, was attributed to Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The distress alert was received at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Bodija GRA, behind Ace Mall in Ibadan. The zonal coordinator mentioned that response agencies were promptly dispatched to the scene, where it was observed that over 20 houses were affected in the suspected IED explosion. The exact casualty figures remained uncertain, and search and rescue operations were still underway.
