The first edition of Ankara Soiree Fashion show and Exhibition took place on Saturday 27th July 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria.
The exhibition which started earlier in the day saw designers display creativity, style, talent and originality in using the Ankara fabric to make elegant clothing, accessories and lots more. The visitors and some of Nigeria’s celebrities present mingled around the stalls to patronize exhibitors before taking their seats to watch the exclusive run way show anchored by the pretty and charming Mamuzo Ogbeta.
The Principal Consultant of Skyline Image and Events Limited organizers of the Ankara Soiree Mrs Prudence Onyejiaka said the event was born out of the need to provide publicity for young and upcoming designers/ entrepreneurs in Nigeria by showcasing their talent to a select public, promoting our beautiful culture and impacting this cultural creativity and patriotism on the entire public.
