A fire outbreak which started at about 3 am Sunday at the Madam Tinubu female Hostel of the University of Lagos has left many students injured, but no deaths were recorded.
Many students were reported to have jumped from as high as the third floor after fire broke out at the ground floor of the hostel.
Fire service personnel failed to report to the scene on time, and most fire extinguishers failed to work, as brave students battled to put out they fire with water

The cause of today’s inferno at a Tinubu hall, Unilag has been traced to the use of “hell fire” hot plate by a student.
The room A014 where the incident occurred was completely razed
