The first batch of Nigeria’s troops, numbering about eighty soldiers, have arrived in Mali.
The soldiers arrived Bamako, the Malian capital, aboard the Lockheed C130 military transport plane that departed Kaduna yesterday evening.
The Nigerian contingent has now joined the international force being mobilized to bring peace and stability to the country as it battles against Islamist extremists.
