The crowd that converged to witness the “stage comeback” of Beyonce after being hiatus due to childbirth matters were well and truly wowed at the show which held at Atlantic City on Friday 25 May.
The show was the first of three sell-outs this weekend saw the star change from glittery outfit to glittery outfit, blasting out all the tracks that her fans know and mesmerizing them with deft foot work and hip maneuvers.
The superstar opened the show with the words “I gotta say, it feels so good to be back home on stage.”
On hand to give her support was hubby JayZ.
The singer also used the occasion to pay a small tribute to late diva Whitney Houston, by singing the opening of her megahit ‘I Will Always Love You’, which then marged into fan-favourite ‘Halo’, but in true ‘Beyonce style’ career-driven focus, the singer didn’t mention her new daughter Blue Ivy much at all.
Other hits performed included the feisty ‘End Of Time’, retro-soulful ‘Love On Top’ and the worldwide smash ‘Crazy In Love’ – to which the superstar paraded around in amazing outfits – from glittery numbers to those amazing hotpants!
The ‘If I Was A Boy’ singer had previously admitted that she was suffering from pre-shows nerves …clearly had absolutely nothing to worry about. Good to have you back, Bey!
