In a heartfelt statement on his Instagram page, Kenneth Okonkwo criticized the party’s leadership under Peter Obi, expressing disappointment in Obi’s lack of strong leadership and losing confidence in his ability to fulfill the mandate even if elected.
Addressing Okonkwo’s departure, Peter Obi, in a post on the X platform, acknowledged their differing views, stating that such differences are normal and indicative of good followership. He appreciated Okonkwo’s loyalty and support but condemned the Labour Party’s characterization of Okonkwo as a mole.
