Popular streamer Peller has responded to a Nigerian lady identified as Nkese, who earlier called him out over the way he handled a recent job interview for a cameraman role.
Nkese had taken to social media to recount her experience, alleging that Peller mocked her body and made insensitive remarks about her tribe, claiming the Efik ethnic group “doesn’t exist.”
In a video response, Peller defended himself, emphasizing that he wants his cameraman to be well-educated and capable of handling tasks professionally, especially in international settings.
He also addressed the lady’s criticism of his interview questions, clarifying that the Master’s degree requirement was a joke taken out of context. He accused her of selectively sharing only the parts of the interview that portrayed him negatively.
“I am uneducated, I agree. But I can’t allow an uneducated person to be my cameraman. Imagine the boat of us now go outside country, you be my cameraman, something wey they ask me, I should be able to ask you and know. For the master’s degree something I just use am joke ni, but they bring am come. The only part wey she pick post na where I tell am say I no know where be that state or tribe wey I just dey joke with this girl she come – see you can’t even be my cameraman…”
