A former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vincent Ogbulafor has reiterated that the party will rule Nigeria for at least 60 years.
Ogabulafor opined thus on the sideline of the PDP’s convention where President Goodluck Jonathan’s nomination for a second term was ratified.
“There was a time it seemed that PDP was going to crumble but you can see that the party is getting stronger now,” he noted.
Ogbulafor said that the adoption of President Goodluck Jonathan as the party’s sole candidate for 2015 presidential election was in the right direction. He added that the move would further stabilise the party and ensure continuity of developmental projects currently executed by the Federal Government.
According to him, President Jonathan has done well to deserve another tenure in office as the country’s president.
“He has done well in the last four years and we want him to do more in the next four years,” Ogbulafor said.
He said that PDP stood a better chance of winning the presidential election “because of the current unity in the party”.
“Jonathan’s chances of winning the presidential election are 100 per cent,” he added.
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party which has been in charge of Nigeria’s affairs since 1999, with Ogbulafor’s assertive talk the PDP may cling to power till 2059 A.D.
