Malam Nasir el-Rufai,former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and deputy national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) attended the state APC stakeholders’ meeting in preparation for the party’s forthcoming congresses in Kaduna yesterday.
He opine that “the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has 11 more months to vacate and hand over power to the APC.”
“Even people in power now know that, they have 11 months to pack their bags because we are taking over”.
He claims his priority as the deputy national secretary is to ensure that, APC is a very strong party in Kaduna State and other parts of the country and the question of contesting for office will be determined by the party at the appropriate time.
The event was also graced by likes of Senator Sani Saleh, who is an APC Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, who stated that there was no crisis in the Kaduna State.
In addition he said “The little challenges the party had, bordered around implementation of national guidelines which has already been resolved. The party is ready to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.”
