David Ibiyeomi has recounted an experience from 1997 where he gave out his entire monthly salary as an act of sacrifice.
He explained that at the time, his wife had asked for money to go to the market, and his total earnings were ₦5,000. While preparing to respond, he said he felt prompted to give out the full amount instead.
Despite the financial pressure, he went ahead and released the ₦5,000.
According to him, less than an hour later, a woman arrived with ₦25,000, along with food supplies such as rice, beans, eggs, and other items, saying she had been directed to deliver them to him.
He further revealed that the same woman later shared how her husband, who had never given her a large sum before, gave her ₦1 million that same day. He added that the man eventually secured a job in Abuja.
The pastor used the story to highlight the importance of faith and obedience, noting that acting in faith can trigger a sequence of positive events.
