Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), celebrated his 82nd birthday with a special church service where he shared his near-death experiences. He recounted a terrifying incident while traveling to Ilorin, Kwara state, with his wife and former driver, where they narrowly escaped a fatal accident involving a speeding trailer on a narrow path near a bridge overlooking a river. Despite the close call, Adeboye attributed their survival to divine intervention, emphasizing the miraculous aspect of their escape. He expressed gratitude to the congregation for their support and prayers and prayed for their continued success and longevity. Adeboye’s biography highlights his journey from serving as an interpreter in the RCCG to becoming its General Overseer and leading its expansion into one of Nigeria’s largest Pentecostal churches with a global presence. President Bola Tinubu also sent a special birthday message to Adeboye, acknowledging his exemplary leadership in Christendom and thanking him for his prayers and wise counsel for the country.
