Pastor Adeboye addresses the recent tragic deaths of three Ekiti monarchs, highlighting the worsening security crisis in the country. The nation witnessed the unfortunate demise of three traditional rulers within four days, marking a disturbing escalation in insecurity. On Monday, January 30, 2024, the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and Oba David Ogunsola from Esun Ekiti were fatally attacked by gunmen while returning from a meeting in Irele-Ekiti, located in Nigeria’s South West region. Responding to these brutal killings, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) passionately calls for divine justice against the perpetrators of violence targeting traditional rulers nationwide. Pastor Adeboye conveyed this message during the RCCG’s monthly Holy Ghost Service program for February titled “From The Mountain Top 2,” held on Friday night. He emphasized that those responsible for violence against monarchs would face severe consequences.
In his words, “The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers. Because as far as God is concerned, traditional rulers are anointed.”
