Toke Makinwa revealed how she lost her parents when she was just 8-years-old, to gas cylinder leak in her book ‘On Becoming’.
According to her, her dad Caleb Ifemayowa Makinwa, 35, and her mum Modupe Monica Makinwa, 34, died in the fire incident after joking about dying together.
She tweeted; ‘they joked about dying together, perfect ride/die and it happened. They were buried side by side‘.
