Comrade Patrick Oghenerhoro, a.k.a Paleke, a Senior Special Assistant on Youth Development to Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, has defected from the governor and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Oghenerhoro stated that he has great faith in Ovie Omo-Agege as a Deltan who cares about the development of the state and the well-being of her people.
He emphasized his belief in his vision of constructing a new Delta.
Oghenerrhoro went on to say that he carefully examined all of the candidates vying for the Delta governorship seat in the upcoming general elections, and that only Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has demonstrated capacity and genuine interest in rebuilding the state.
Paleke, as he is affectionately known, stated that voting for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, is tantamount to extending Okowa’s tenure and prolonging Deltans’ sufferings.
Hon. Oghenerhoro stated that he values the general welfare of Deltans over personal financial gain, so he has decided to resign from the PDP as well as his position as Senior Special Assistant,SSA in the Okowa administration.
He assured Deltans that he will collaborate with others to bring more hands and resources to bear on rescuing the state and moving it forward.
Paleke had previously been one of the governor’s most trusted political allies.
He was a former PDP Youth Leader in Ethiopie-East and a member of the Urhobo Youth Council’s Board of Trustees.
