The Oyo State Government has revealed plans to distribute thousands of free tickets to youths for Davido’s “5ive Tour” concert set to hold in Ibadan on November 9, 2025.
The gesture supports Governor Seyi Makinde’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and the growth of the creative sector in the state.
According to the announcement, ticket distribution will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development located within the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ibadan. Officials will oversee the process to maintain order and fairness.
Davido’s Ibadan Tour Stop
The Ibadan concert marks one of the major stops in the Nigerian leg of Davido’s 5ive Tour, which kicked off in Uyo on October 26, continued to Yola (October 29) and Enugu (November 1), with the final Nigerian show scheduled for December 25 in Lagos.
The event is being organised in collaboration with the Oyo State Government through the Agency for Youth Development, aimed at promoting youth inclusion and highlighting the state’s investment in cultural and entertainment initiatives.
Davido described his Nigerian tour experience as “special”, expressing excitement about performing at home after his successful North American leg.
Ticket Distribution and Tour Extension
The government also clarified that tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Ibadan concert is part of Davido’s wider global tour, which spans North America, Europe, and soon Africa, reinforcing his global appeal while giving back to his Nigerian fan base.
