A Nigerian man has called for justice after alleging that he was detained by a police officer from the Ajah division in Lagos for carrying a used battery without having its receipt.
In a viral video, the visibly upset man explained that the officers stopped him and prevented him from proceeding, yet refused to take him to the station to make an official statement. He also claimed that they confiscated his driver’s license and vehicle documents while keeping him at the scene.
The footage shows the officer, whose face was clearly visible, making phone calls as the man voiced his frustration over the situation.
