Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate from the 2023 election, attended the International Leaders Forum (ILF) in Chicago.
The 11th ILF is taking place alongside the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Illinois from August 19-22. Hosted every four years by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) since 1984, the forum gathers senior politicians and policymakers from around the globe to observe the American democratic process.
Peter Obi noted that he was invited to the event, along with two other prominent Nigerians and around two hundred distinguished political leaders from over 91 countries, including former Heads of Government.
Obi shared on X, “We were invited to the 2024 International Leaders Forum (ILF) during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago from August 19-22. I am honored and thankful to Senator Thomas Daschle and the NDI Board for the invitation.”
