OSCAR Pistorius was involved in a fight in a nightclub after a man confronted him over his trial for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, it has been reported.
A spokeswoman for the Paralympic athlete confirmed that an altercation took place, saying that Pistorius was approached while he was sitting quietly in the VIP section of a Johannesburg club.
South African news website The Juice has identified the man as Jared Mortimer, and reported claims that Pistorius was drunk and aggressive in the incident on Saturday night.
It is alleged that Pistorius poked the man in the chest and told him “you’ll never get the better of me”.
Mr Mortimer claimed that he then pushed double-amputee Pistorius, who fell over into a chair, before security staff intervened and the athlete left the nightclub.
Pistorius is currently standing trial over the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who was shot three times by Pistorius through a locked toilet door in his Pretoria home.
