It was a night of glamour and excitement in Lagos as Onyinyechi Basil, representing Anambra State, emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2025.

In her acceptance speech, Basil encouraged young girls to pursue their dreams while embracing their roots.
“I want young girls to know that they can achieve more, and still celebrate their cultural identity,” she said.
With this victory, Basil will now go on to represent Nigeria at the global Miss Universe 2025 competition.
Other winners of the night include:
- Miss Lagos, Damilola Bolarinde – First Runner-up
- Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo – Second Runner-up
