Nigerian activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has claimed that the result of the 2027 presidential election has already been predetermined by those in power.
In an interview with Vanguard, Sowore stated, “The 2027 results are already written,” expressing deep skepticism about the electoral process. Despite this, he affirmed his continued involvement in the political scene, saying, “I never stopped running—whether it’s for elections, protests, or legal battles, I’m always fighting for something.”
Sowore argued that true change in Nigeria won’t come through elections but through a collective uprising against the existing system.
Addressing the current state of the country, he criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, asserting that Nigerians made a serious error by voting him into office. He warned, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—by the time Tinubu is done, Nigerians will wish they could go back to Buhari’s era.”
He further accused Tinubu of causing severe harm to the nation’s economy, political institutions, and educational system, claiming that while Buhari’s government damaged Nigeria over eight years, Tinubu is “burying it” in just two.
