A 28-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Azeez Muideen died last Wednesday after taking too much alcohol.
Muideen on the day of the incident and some friends had a drinking contest and had taken excessive alcohol after which he suddenly slumped and died.

According to residents of Aso Rock Villa, Ebute Road, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where the incident occurred, Muideen consumed two bottles of brandy before giving up the ghost.

It was learnt that immediately they realised that he was dead, Muideen’s friends dumped his corpse near a gutter before taking to their heels.

Around 11:15pm, a man (name withheld) of Aso Rock Villa, Ebute Road, Ibafo, came to the Ibafo Police Division and reported that Muideen, a motorcyclist, with others yet unknown, were involved in a drinking contest which resulted in Muideen’s death.
“Muideen’s lifeless body was abandoned while fellow contestants took to their heels. He was confirmed dead at an Ibafo hospital. The scene was visited and his corpse released to the family on demand for burial according to Islamic rites, but investigations are ongoing.”
