Nigerian music star Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has shared that a large sum of money might temporarily ease his battle with depression.
The ‘Soso’ hitmaker made the statement on social media on Tuesday, suggesting that receiving £10 million or $10 million would be enough to make him feel better for at least a month.
Omah Lay, who has previously opened up about his ongoing struggle with depression—a condition he admitted nearly cost him his life—posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“10M in pounds or dollars right now will heal me for at least a month.”
The singer has hinted that his upcoming second album, Clarity of Mind, will explore his personal healing journey and mental health experiences.
His first album, Boy Alone, released on July 15, 2022, featured emotionally raw tracks that delved deeply into his battle with depression. Just days after its release, on July 18, 2022, Omah Lay revealed via X that his condition had worsened after engaging in a sexual relationship with his therapist.
