Nigerian musician Olamide engaged in a verbal altercation with a fan who criticized his career and questioned his impact on Afrobeat music. The artist, who recently made headlines for gifting a content creator N5 million, clashed with a music critic on social media.
The critic, using the micro-blogging platform Twitter, questioned why Olamide hadn’t achieved any significant milestones for Afrobeats yet. “Why haven’t you achieved anything useful for Afrobeats yet?” he asked.
Instead of responding with a sharp comeback, Olamide chose to pray for the critic, wishing him healing from his personal struggles.
