A viral billboard displaying Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill, his former wife Tonto Dikeh, and their son, King Andre, has sparked widespread reactions online.
The billboard, said to be positioned at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, gained attention after Churchill reposted an image of it on his Instagram story.
The large outdoor display celebrated their son and featured a family photo of the ex-couple with their child a gesture that quickly ignited conversations across social media platforms.
Many initially believed Churchill personally financed the billboard, with some social media users even bringing his current wife, Rosy Meurer, into the discussion.
However, Churchill later clarified that he was not responsible for putting it up. He explained that the billboard was actually a birthday surprise from a friend who wanted to mark his son’s special milestone. To support his claim, he shared screenshots of their conversation, showing that the idea was solely to celebrate the child.
This explanation followed shortly after Churchill and Tonto reunited to celebrate their son’s 10th birthday in an elaborate event.
The celebration was attended by prominent figures such as Obi Cubana, Rita Edochie, Uche Elendu, Empress Njamah, and singer Teni, among others.
During the event, Tonto openly praised Churchill, describing him as an “amazing father.” She also expressed her “godly love” for him and offered prayers for his family, businesses, and children a moment that many observers applauded as a strong example of mature co-parenting.
As expected, the development triggered mixed reactions online.
